About

There's nothing special about me. It is just incidental that I have web-host plan and my domain name is still available. I'm a half geek and half nerd. A freelance web developer and a part time search engine specialist. I am also currently studying law in a state university.

First Year of Law School is Over

Yun na nga, nasurvive ko rin ang first year ng law school. Ang masasabi ko lang ay, VICTORIOUS ako! Boom!

Kundi patibayan at pasipagan.

It was a muddy fun – #UP Fair

Whew, it was my first time to watch the yearly UP fair at Diliman. All I can say is that, it was a muddy fun. The venue is in the Sunken Garden, and the ground is quite wet – as a result, it is like you are stepping on bunch of brownies. The entrance line is too long also. Well, that is usual in that kind of concert.

But the concert worth all of the sufferings! It was a great experience to watch Urbandub in live stage, and they were so energetic in performing on stage. Watching other bands like Hilera,Updharmadown,The Wuds, Silent Sanctuary, Razorback and others was also nice. So sad that I missed the Typecast and Franco band because I arrived there around 10:30pm and went out around 1:00am , so I dunno if the two already performed or still at the back stage.

I really love rock music. YEAH!

Machine Gun Preacher

I was inside the cinema to watch Sherlock Holmes 2 when I saw the trailer of “Machine Gun Preacher” – and honestly, it touched my stone heart and it almost made me cry. I really don’t know why – maybe it is my other side.

Then I said to myself, this is the kind of man I want to be. I want to be a great man someday – A man that will be remembered for the things he contributed to the humanity through achieving his purpose given by the Almighty God.

Here’s the preview from YouTube:

Here’s a sypnosis from the official website:

Machine Gun Preacher is the inspirational true story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing criminal who undergoes an astonishing transformation and finds an unexpected calling as the savior of hundreds of kidnapped and orphaned children. Gerard Butler (300) delivers a searing performance as Childers, the impassioned founder of the Angels of East Africa rescue organization in Golden Globe-nominated director Marc Forster’s (Monster’s Ball, Finding Neverland) moving story of violence and redemption.

When ex-biker-gang member Sam Childers (Butler) makes the life-changing decision to go to East Africa to help repair homes destroyed by civil war, he is outraged by the unspeakable horrors faced by the region’s vulnerable populace, especially the children. Ignoring the warnings of more experienced aide workers, Sam breaks ground for an orphanage where it’s most needed in the middle of territory controlled by the brutal Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a renegade militia that forces youngsters to become soldiers before they even reach their teens.

But for Sam, it is not enough to shelter the LRA’s intended victims. Determined to save as many as possible, he leads armed missions deep into enemy territory to retrieve kidnapped children, restoring peace to their lives – and eventually his own. The explosive, real-life tale of a man who has rescued over a thousand orphans from starvation, disease and enslavement, Machine Gun Preacher also stars Michelle Monaghan (Due Date), Kathy Baker (Cold Mountain), Madeline Carroll (Mr. Popper’s Penguins), Academy Award® nominated Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road) and Souleymane Sy Savane (“Damages”).

Let there be Impeachment Trials

The impeachment of Chief Justice Corona became a hot issue in the Philippines, and in fact, the hearing is being aired live in some TV stations. Isn’t cool? It is more intense than any dramatic teleserye and funnier than any other comedy shows.

My two cents is that, let there be impeachment trial no matter how malicious it is. Some people say that the impeachment of Chief Justice Corona is an attack to the whole judicial department and it is a sign of tyranny in the part of the President. But then, let’s accept the fact that impeachment is provided by our constitution, and as long as the procedures were followed, there will be an impeachment no matter how malicious it is. If you don’t want impeachment trials, then amend  or revise the constitution. It is just like the decisions of the Supreme Court – even how malicious it is, it should be respected and followed.  That’s how ironic our politics is. Be noted that you can never reconcile morals to laws if they are in conflict.

But I still consider the impeachment a good recourse as long as the members of congress are still doing their official duties. The impeachment trial is a good opportunity for Chief Justice Corona to defend himself from the allegations of the prosecution and mainstream public.

So whats my side?

I don’t support Chief Justice Corona but I don’t support the prosecution neither – I SUPPORT JUSTICE! JUSTICE WILL ALWAYS PREVAIL. Let us see who will win, and how they will justify the judgment of the impeachment of Chief Justice Corona.

Still Under Construction

Yeah right, though it is now somewhat functional.. my personal site is still underconstruction. I’m still adding some components and tweaks.

Wisdom, Justice, and Love

“I come to this magnificent house of worship tonight because my conscience leaves me no other choice… A true revolution of values will lay hand on the world order and say of war, ‘This way of settling differences is not just.’ This business of burning human beings with napalm, of filling our nation’s homes with orphans and widows, of injecting poisonous drugs of hate into the veins of peoples normally humane, of sending men home from dark and bloody battlefields physically handicapped and psychologically deranged, cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice, and love…”
